SEH America

These internships help expose students to many of the skills they’ll need to be successful after high school. “It was really good work experience that I never would have gotten any other way,” said one former intern. These internships allow students to get valuable experiences that they can leverage to go directly to work after high school, to clarify their future studies, get into the college of their dreams, access scholarships, and more.

Core Plus — Skills For Work, Skills For Life

Core Plus helps students across Washington learn to build airplanes, boats, buildings – and their futures. This site connects you with Core Plus programs, teachers, employers, opportunities and resources.

HOSA

HOSA is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of ACTE. HOSA’s two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA’s goal is to encourage all health science instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership. Read more here.

AppConnectNW

AppConnectNW is a consortium of five community and technical colleges in the Puget Sound. Each college offers an applied baccalaureate degree in application/software development. The faculty have joined together to collaborate on developing industry partnerships and common curriculum in order to create more opportunities for graduates to succeed. Read more here.

Avista Energy Pathways

Energy Pathways allows students to “try on” this career path in the fields of alternative and emerging energy, including wind, solar and battery technologies; energy efficiency and sustainability; engineering; and maintenance and operations of the energy system. At the end of the program, the participating students also received a Career and Technical Education (CTE) class credit. Read more here.

YV-TECH provides free academic and hands-on college prep and technical skills career training to high school students in the Yakima Valley. YV-TECH has served over 18,000 students since its opening and many have gone on to work as owners, operators, managers, supervisors, and superintendents in and around the community. Read more here.
