We are happy to inform you that Round 7 of Career Connect Washington Intermediary Funding Request for Proposals (RFP) is now available via Washington Electronic Business Solutions (WEBS), Reference 2021-10. Please register in WEBS to view and download the solicitation.

Please encourage any potential applicants who would be interested and qualified to develop or expand high quality career connected programs to apply.

Applicants are invited to join us for the Bidders Conference on Monday, July 26th, 1 pm – 2:30 pm. If you are unable to join the conference, it will be recorded and posted on www.careerconnectwa.org for you to review at your convenience. If, after the conference, you still have unanswered questions, you’ll have the opportunity to submit them to the RFP Coordinator until 2:00 pm on August 2nd. ESD staff will respond to all questions received from potential bidders by August 6th, 2021. 

Applications are due by 5:00 pm PST on September 13th, 2021. Please note that Solicitation End Date displayed on WEBS is NOT the application submission deadline.

Application Information:

Eligible Applicants: Entities interested and qualified to perform the role of the intermediary and work with regional networks, career connected learning coordinators at the Educational Service Districts, and industry and education partners to expand the use of current curricula or develop new curricula for Career Launch programs, or Career Prep and Explore programs. Preference will be given to applicants proposing to develop Career Launch programs.

Funding: $3,000,000 of Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act State-Wide Activities funds are available for Round 7. We anticipate awarding multiple contracts in this round. The target amount for awards is $100,000-$150,000 each. Awards will not exceed $250,000 per contract.

Period of Performance: 12 months, approximately November 1, 2021 to October 31, 2022.

Allowable Costs:
Funding will support program development costs and will not support enrollments, wrap around services, instruction, or direct participant recruitment. 
Allowable budget categories may include the following, provided costs are attributable to contract activities:

  • Staff Salaries
  • Staff Benefits
  • Costs for outreach to business and education partners
  • Travel directly related to program development
  • Supplies
  • Contracts for curriculum development
